Partly by choice, partly by chance, I work in multiple disciplines, each perhaps different in outer appearance but fuelled by the same inner signal -
An Attraction for Thirst.
This is what drives and pervades my work - the attraction I feel towards the quenching of one creative thirst and finding another equally invigorating one taking its place.
I pursue this attraction through drawing, writing, painting and visual storytelling. It takes different forms - ink on paper, acrylic on canvas, digital art or mix media - whatever is best suited to the stimulus.
Much of my work begins in movement - walking on unfamiliar streets, sketching moments, listening to people and collecting fragments of experience. I then interpret this movement into visual forms that tread the overlap of the familiar and fantastical. The lives we live and the different worlds we inhabit with their quirks, flaws, seductions, dangers and joys form the crux of both - what I create and why I create.
I intend what I make to become a window or better still a portal for the viewer to enter. Where you can choose to find the meaning that satiates your thirst and find another equally compelling one beginning to form.
